Position Summary
The Engagement Associate will provide administrative and operational support to the Engagement team. This role requires a high degree of confidentiality, superior attention to detail, ability to work independently, strong organization and time management skills, and proficiency with technology and software including Fuse (intranet), PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Word.
Responsibilities
Engagement and Recognition:
- Assist in the execution of the engagement strategy, events, and community building moments aligned to organizations M/V/V
- Support the development of high-quality content that is relevant, easy to understand, and approachable
- Support wellbeing activities/moments that contribute to support key focus areas (including summer/winter programs, corporate and on-site)
- Provide informed guidance and best practice on aspects around engagement (incl. for training resources and policies on key topics)
- Monitor Fuse and Teams and research/respond to associate questions
- Create and/or edit reports/presentations as needed
- Create forms as needed for Engagement programs and processes
- Monitor and update Engagement/Wellness/D&I content on Company’s associate communication platform (Fuse) to ensure information is accurate at all times
- Research best-practices and/or vendors to assist with development of Engagement/Wellness/D&I programs
- Assist with general departmental needs during times of heavy workload
- Performs other job-related duties, as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administrator or a related field. Experience may substitute for education.
- Three years of experience in employee engagement, corporate social responsibility, HR or a related field.
- Knowledge of employee engagement strategies, including best practices for volunteer programs, social events, and corporate social responsibility.
- Knowledge of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) principles and how to integrate them into workplace engagement initiatives.
- Skilled in Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Skilled in organization and time management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Skilled in building and fostering relationships across a diverse group of stakeholders in a dynamic, matrixed organization.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve complex problems while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to think strategically with a passion for enhancing the associate experience through engagement initiatives and problem-solving.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for diverse audiences.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to read documents, computer screens and data
- Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
- May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds
- Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment
Work Environment:
- This is a hybrid role, requiring the associate to work in one of our corporate or regional offices 4 days per week.
- The office is an open setting which may include bright lights, constant noises and distractions.
