To apply, you must currently live in Singapore and be able to work from our Singapore office as part of our hybrid working arrangements.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) is a global professional body for people working in land, property, construction and infrastructure. We set professional standards, award qualifications and support members throughout their careers.
In Southeast Asia, our engagement team works with professionals, employers and universities to introduce people to RICS, explain how to become a member and connect them with learning and development opportunities. You’ll help make these connections through conversations, membership talks and events.
Role Purpose and Key Responsibilities
Enjoy meeting people and organising activities? You’ll help members, employers and universities connect with RICS and learn about membership and professional development opportunities.
Based in our Singapore office, you’ll support the Market Development Manager with membership talks, smaller events and regular contact with employers and universities across Southeast Asia.
You’ll have support from your manager and colleagues in Hong Kong, Australia and India, with opportunities to share ideas and learn from each other.
Key Responsibilities
• Help organise and deliver smaller events, university visits and membership talks.
• Keep in touch with members, candidates, employers and universities, answering questions and following up on conversations.
• Help people find the right information and take their next steps towards membership and qualification.
• Keep contact records up to date and share feedback and opportunities with your manager.
• Work towards agreed targets for membership enrolment and qualification, university visits, employer engagement and membership talks.
About You
You’ll have practical experience in membership engagement, employer or university engagement, or business development. Experience in a comparable relationship management role is also relevant, particularly where you’ve encouraged people or organisations to take up a service or opportunity.
You’ll be able to demonstrate that you have:
• Built relationships with external contacts, including senior stakeholders.
• Delivered presentations, talks or smaller engagement events.
• Followed up enquiries and worked towards agreed participation, membership or commercial targets.
• Used a CRM or similar system to keep accurate records and manage follow up.
• Communicated clearly in written and spoken English, including answering enquiries and explaining information to different audiences.
You don’t need detailed knowledge of RICS or surveying before joining, but you should be ready to learn about our membership routes and explain them to others.
Rewards and Benefits
We offer a supportive benefits package including a monthly medical allowance, life assurance, family-friendly maternity, paternity and childcare leave, sick and hospitalisation leave, CPF contributions for eligible employees, and Singapore public holidays.
Equal Opportunity Employer
RICS is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We welcome candidates from diverse backgrounds, as we believe that our differences drive our performance. Please let us know if we can support you with any adjustments to our recruitment process. Candidates will need to have the correct right to work in the country the role resides in.
