ENGINEERING MANAGER – DIGITAL BANKING

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam | Full-time | Hybrid: 2 office days + 3 WFH days/week

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

KUP Partner is recruiting on behalf of an international fintech company building a new digital banking platform. Lead engineering delivery from the ground up and collaborate with teams across Vietnam, Japan and India.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead digital banking development from architecture and planning through launch and operations.

• Build and manage engineering teams across multiple countries.

• Own project planning, delivery tracking, risks, stakeholder management and quality assurance.

• Guide system design, third-party integrations, code reviews and engineering standards.

• Establish Scrum/Agile practices and support the team as Scrum Master.

• Ensure security, reliability and operational readiness.

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years in software development and 3+ years in engineering management or project management.

• Previous banking experience is required.

• Proven experience leading development teams of 30+ members.

• Strong Java/Kotlin backend experience, cloud-based microservices and AWS, Azure or GCP.

• Familiarity with React or Node.js, OAuth 2.0 and OIDC.

• Practical Scrum/Agile experience.

• Experience in AI development or using AI development tools.

• Excellent English communication and strong stakeholder management.

NICE TO HAVE

• Core banking or mission-critical financial systems.

• Mambu, financial regulatory compliance, CI/CD and DevOps experience.
