Engineering Manager

This is a remote position.

Shuru is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams and drive the delivery of scalable, reliable, and impactful technology solutions.

In this role, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across Product, Business, Data, and Technology to translate business priorities into strong engineering outcomes.

What you’ll own:

• Lead and mentor engineering teams through technical leads and senior engineers
  
• Drive engineering strategy, architecture, scalability, reliability, and delivery
  
• Partner with Product and business teams on priorities, roadmaps, and trade-offs
  
• Strengthen engineering processes, quality, security, and operational excellence
  
• Support cloud infrastructure, platform performance, and cost optimization
  
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation across engineering workflows
  
• Build a strong culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  
  
  
  

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

• 8-12 years of overall engineering experience
  
• Strong experience managing and growing engineering teams
  
• Hands-on understanding of system design, cloud-native architecture, APIs, databases, and distributed systems
  
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
  
• Experience working in fast-paced startups, scale-ups, or product-led environments
  
• Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities and delivery
  
• Prior experience in fintech, financial services, payments, trading, lending, insurance, or other regulated environments is highly preferred.
