Engineering Manager

Role Description This part-time Engineering Manager role is a hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility to work from home for some responsibilities. The Engineering Manager will oversee engineering teams, guide technical direction, and ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards. Daily tasks include planning and prioritizing engineering projects, coordinating software development and system integration efforts, and monitoring progress against timelines and quality benchmarks. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, managing resources and risks, reviewing technical designs and code, and mentoring team members to support professional growth and high performance. The Engineering Manager will also contribute to process improvement, documentation, and the implementation of best practices in engineering and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Engineering Management and Project Management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Candidates should possess proven Team Leadership and people management skills, with experience in mentoring, performance feedback, and fostering collaboration.
• Candidates should possess hands-on Software Development experience, with solid understanding of modern development practices, tools, and lifecycle management.
• Candidates should possess Integration skills, including experience designing and overseeing system integrations, APIs, and interoperability between platforms.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to quality, security, and scalability in engineering solutions.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural, cross-functional environment, including remote collaboration.
• Experience with hybrid work models and familiarity with collaboration tools and engineering management platforms is beneficial.
