Role Description This is a remote, contract role for an English to Thai and English to Vietnamese Medical Freelance Translator. The translator will accurately translate clinical, pharmaceutical, and medical device documents from English into Thai and Vietnamese, ensuring correct terminology and adherence to client and regulatory requirements. Daily tasks include reviewing source materials, performing high-quality translations, conducting self-checks and revisions, and collaborating with project managers and quality reviewers. The role may also involve working with translation tools and MTPE workflows, maintaining glossaries and style guides, and meeting strict deadlines for urgent projects. The translator is expected to manage projects independently while following Willingjet’s quality standards and confidentiality guidelines.
Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in English and native-level fluency in Thai and/or Vietnamese, with excellent written communication skills.
• Proven experience in medical, clinical, pharmaceutical, or regulatory translation, including familiarity with medical terminology and documentation.
• Ability to work with CAT tools and MTPE workflows, and to follow glossaries, style guides, and client-specific instructions.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency, with strong skills in self-editing, proofreading, and quality assurance.
• Capacity to work remotely as a freelancer, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in life sciences is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience working with ISO-compliant language service providers or medical institutions is beneficial.
