Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic billing team focused on bulk fuel supply. This role requires a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to manage daily cash forecasts, invoice approvals, and fuel invoice reconciliations, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily cash forecasts for supply fuel purchases.
• Request and follow up on invoice approvals for bulk fuel.
• Enter fuel invoices into OSA system.
• Reconcile fuel invoices with bulk deliveries.
• Communicate daily with various departments and vendors.
• Review account activity prior to month-end close to identify and resolve any issues.
• Assist and back up other team members with tasks as requested.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Essential Skills

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting with 1-3 years of experience.
• Proficiency in bank reconciliation, credit card transactions, and expense allocations.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel with VLOOKUP experience.
• Understanding of GAAP standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable and self-motivated.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Familiarity with PDI and Oracle is helpful but not required.
• Capability to work extended or early hours during month-end closing (first 4 workdays of the month).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
