Job Description

Our client, a leading healthcare company, seeks an ERP / EHR Cross-Program Technical Lead to provide technical leadership, integrated planning, and cross-program coordination across large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) and electronic health record (EHR) initiatives. This role requires demonstrated experience managing dependencies across complex IT programs, coordinating integrated schedules across concurrent workstreams, and maintaining strong technical governance and risk management practices. The ideal candidate will possess ERP experience, strong technical expertise in EHR platforms, and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and steering committees in a matrixed environment. The successful candidate will help drive program alignment, proactively resolve cross-program blockers, and support the successful execution of a major healthcare technology program.

This is a contractual role for 1 year (Extendable) where the selected candidate would be required to support EST business hours.

The Role.
  • Provide technical leadership and cross-program coordination across large-scale ERP and EHR initiatives within a complex healthcare technology environment.
  • Manage cross-program dependencies across interconnected enterprise systems and workstreams, ensuring alignment across programs rather than focusing solely on individual project delivery.
  • Lead integrated schedule management across multiple concurrent workstreams, coordinating milestones, critical paths, dependencies, deliverables, and overall program timelines.
  • Coordinate interdependent workstreams, including: Replenishment, Interfaces, Change Management, Consumption, and Plan to Treat, as applicable to the program.
  • Operate effectively within a matrixed organizational structure, aligning senior stakeholders, program leaders, technical teams, business partners, and steering committees.
  • Establish and maintain disciplined RAID management practices, including the identification, documentation, tracking, mitigation, and escalation of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies.
  • Proactively identify and escalate cross-program blockers, schedule conflicts, integration risks, and unresolved decisions that could affect program timelines or delivery outcomes.
  • Facilitate technical governance and decision-making across ERP, EHR, integration, and related enterprise technology workstreams.
  • Support formal change control processes and governance forums, including Design Review Board (DRB) and Change Control Board (CCB) reviews, approvals, and decision tracking.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, implementation partners, business stakeholders, and program leadership to resolve technical challenges and maintain alignment across workstreams.
  • Communicate program status, technical risks, dependencies, mitigation plans, and recommendations clearly and confidently to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Support program readiness, integrated planning, and execution activities in preparation before program launch.
  • Drive accountability for action items, milestone commitments, risk mitigation, and timely resolution of issues across participating teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-program dependencies within large-scale ERP implementations, SAP programs, or complex healthcare IT initiatives. Experience limited to single-project project management is insufficient.
  • Required experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems; SAP experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Strong technical expertise in electronic health record (EHR) platforms, with Epic experience strongly preferred. Candidates with substantial technical expertise in other EHR platforms will also be considered.
  • Proven ability to lead integrated schedule management across multiple concurrent workstreams, including the coordination of interdependencies, milestones, critical paths, and delivery commitments.
  • Experience working within matrixed organizations, coordinating multiple senior stakeholders, and supporting steering committee discussions and decisions.
  • Strong RAID management discipline, including proactive risk identification, dependency tracking, issue resolution, and timely escalation of cross-program blockers.
  • Familiarity with formal change control processes and technical governance, including Design Review Board (DRB) and Change Control Board (CCB) procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical activities across multiple programs, teams, systems, and workstreams in complex enterprise environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders, facilitate discussions, and communicate complex technical matters effectively.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and drive timely resolutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams, business stakeholders, program leadership, and external implementation partners.
  • Ability to work remotely while maintaining availability during Eastern Time business hours.
  • Availability to begin the assignment around mid-November 2026, subject to candidate selection and onboarding requirements.
Preferred Qualifications.
  • Hands-on technical experience with Epic EHR implementations, integrations, or enterprise-level technical initiatives.
  • Experience leading cross-program coordination within healthcare IT transformation programs involving ERP and EHR platforms.
  • Familiarity with healthcare technology integration, enterprise architecture, and complex system dependencies.
  • Experience with integrated program planning, cross-workstream governance, and executive-level program reporting.
  • Experience facilitating Design Review Board (DRB) and Change Control Board (CCB) meetings, managing approvals, and tracking governance decisions.
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams and stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones
