ESL Instructor

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Online Adult Education Instructor to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator with a strong background in teaching adult learners, coupled with the technical proficiency and home-office setup required to deliver seamless virtual instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, interactive, and effective virtual lessons to French speaking adult learners.
• Utilize digital platforms and tools to facilitate learning and encourage participation.
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the diverse needs of adult students.
• Navigate seamlessly between multiple applications and screens during live instruction.
• Maintain a professional, distraction-free virtual classroom environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching adults in a virtual or in-person setting.
• Must hold a valid ESL Certification (e.g., TESL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent).
• Fluent in both English and French

Technical Requirements & Proficiency:

• Computer Skills: Solid understanding of basic computer functionalities. You must be comfortable navigating virtual meeting platforms (e.g., MS Teams), switching between multiple windows/tabs, scrolling, highlighting text, and performing basic mouse functions (right-click, left-click, drag, and drop).
• Hardware Setup: Must have a desktop computer or laptop. A physical external mouse is strictly required (laptop trackpads/touchpads are not permitted for instruction due to the need for precise clicking and highlighting).
• Dual Monitors: Must have a dual-screen setup—one screen dedicated to the instructor's view/controls, and the second screen displaying the student's view or shared content.
• Internet Connection: Must have a fast, reliable, and stable internet connection capable of supporting continuous high-quality video conferencing and screen sharing.
