This position will partner with advisors and our clients to provide comprehensive estate planning, which may include advanced estate planning structures as well as the drafting of documents. In this highly collaborative role, the estate planning lawyer develops and implements sophisticated estate planning strategies for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Serving as a trusted subject matter expert, this role guides clients and advisors through complex engagements while ensuring strategies remain aligned with evolving legal and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advanced directives for HNW and UHNW clients
- Manage estate planning engagements from initial consultation through drafting, execution, and implementation
- Partner with Wealth Managers and Advisors as the subject matter expert to educate clients on matters of estate planning
- Navigate complex legal and financial issues relating to estate planning and potential tax implications
- Collaborate with outside counsel and other professional advisors on complex, multistate, and cross-disciplinary estate planning matters
- Keep up to date with legal issues affecting our areas of practice
- Monitor legislative, regulatory, and case-law developments and update planning strategies and document templates accordingly
- Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
- Deep experience in estate planning – including trusts, wills, advance medical directives, and work with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals
- Demonstrated successful results navigating and solving complex estate planning matters
- Sophisticated communication and influencing skills on complex issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be highly organized, technically strong, and an enthusiastic, effective team leader
- Experience with Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce, and PowerPoint
