Work setup: 100% permanent work from home | Schedule: Australian business hours, Monday to Friday | Salary: PHP 55,000–65,000 gross per month

About the role

We’re hiring an Estimator and Project Coordinator for a Melbourne bricklaying and blocklaying contractor. You’ll prepare take-offs, estimates and quotes for brick, block and brick cladding projects, and support project coordination and construction admin. You’ll work alongside the client’s current estimator. It suits someone detail-oriented who is accurate with measurements and can manage several deadlines.

What you’ll do

Estimating and take-offs

• Perform quantity take-offs for brick, block and brick cladding works from digital drawings in Bluebeam
• Measure wall areas, openings, pattern and feature brickwork, arches and facade areas from architectural and structural drawings
• Calculate material and labour quantities and costs from project measurements and specifications
• Build and maintain estimates in the team’s Excel estimate spreadsheets, using Claude AI as part of the workflow
• Prepare detailed quotes and proposals based on estimated costs, project scope and builder requirements
• Review plans and specifications to identify scope gaps and risks, and raise RFIs with builders

Project coordination

• Manage drawings, markups and tasks in Fieldwire or a similar platform
• Develop and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) with the project team
• Maintain site progress images and quality records for each project
• Track project costs against the estimate and flag variances to the team
• Support regular risk assessments for projects

Construction admin and ad hoc tasks

• Keep project files, drawings and revisions organised in OneDrive
• Maintain registers of quotes and RFIs
• Manage project correspondence through Outlook and Slack
• Use builder platforms such as Aconex, Procore or Visibuild when a project requires it
• Support the team with ad hoc tasks as they arise

What we’re looking for

Required:

• At least 3 years of construction estimating experience
• Experience estimating for Australian construction projects
• Hands-on experience with Bluebeam for quantity take-offs
• Experience in project coordination or construction admin
• Strong Excel skills, and comfortable using AI tools such as Claude
• Clear written and spoken English
• Able to work independently and manage several deadlines
• High attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management or a related field

Preferred:

• Take-off experience in brick, block, facade or cladding works
• Knowledge of Australian building codes and standards
• Experience with Fieldwire, Aconex, Procore or Visibuild
