Event Specialist EMEA – 6-month Contract Position
Location: London, UK
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hybrid

CSC is looking for an organized, proactive, and commercially minded Event Specialist to join our Events team in our London office located in Canary Wharf.

This exciting opportunity will support the planning and delivery of a varied portfolio of events across EMEA, ranging from conferences, sponsorships, and industry events to client receptions, networking events, and larger CSC brand experiences. You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the EMEA event roadmap, ensuring our activities align with broader commercial and brand objectives.

Reporting to the Senior Event Specialist, you will work closely with colleagues across Marketing and the wider organization to deliver a consistent, high-quality approach to events. You will act as a collaborative partner to key stakeholders, while contributing to the development and maintenance of event best practices. Maintaining strong standards across budget management, reporting, and return on investment (ROI) will also be central to the role.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly organized, confident working with multiple stakeholders and suppliers, and comfortable managing several events and competing deadlines simultaneously. The successful candidate will combine strong attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-focused approach and a genuine interest in creating impactful client experiences.

Key responsibilities
• Manage the end-to-end planning and delivery of assigned events across EMEA, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, acting as a subject matter expert and providing proactive guidance throughout the planning process.
• Manage external venues and suppliers, including sourcing, briefing, negotiation, and ongoing coordination.
• Oversee all key event logistics, including attendee management, branding, production, catering, registration, setup, and onsite delivery.
• Manage event budgets, maintaining accurate forecasts and ensuring spend is commercially responsible and aligned with agreed objectives.
• Maintain accurate event data and reporting, including registrations, attendance, leads, budgets, and post-event results.
• Evaluate event performance against agreed objectives, capturing feedback, key learnings, and opportunities to improve future activity.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of event best practices, processes, and standards across the wider Events team.
• Manage event setup and delivery within Cvent, including registration sites, event communications, and reporting.
• Work proactively with internal stakeholders to support invitation activity, monitor registrations, and drive attendance against agreed event targets.
• Work with Salesforce and internal teams to support contact selection, event tracking, and post-event lead management.
• Provide hands-on operational support across the event portfolio, including preparing, packing, and shipping event collateral and promotional items, coordinating couriers and deliveries, and ensuring materials arrive at and return from events as required.
• Support the wider Events team with administrative and operational tasks as required, particularly during busy event periods.

What we are looking for
• 5 years' experience in events, preferably within a corporate, professional services, financial services, or agency environment.
• Experienced in managing multiple events and deadlines simultaneously, whilst tracking ROI
• Confident taking ownership of events rather than relying on step-by-step direction.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills – must be able to communicate clearly and with authenticity to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Organized and professional candidate that is confident working independently with guidance, as well as able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Collaborative and willing to support the wider team during busy periods.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
• Excellent written English, proofreading and research skills.
• Willing and able to travel within the UK and internationally when required, sometimes at short notice.
• Willingness to work outside of 9-5 office hours as required.
• Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field.

What success looks like
Success in this role means being a proactive, dependable, and collaborative member of the Events team who takes ownership of their work and is willing to get involved in every aspect of event delivery.

You will be a genuine team player with a hands-on approach, equally comfortable managing
stakeholders and suppliers as you are supporting with the practical, behind-the-scenes tasks that contribute to a successful event. You will be adaptable, solutions-focused, and willing to step in and support colleagues when priorities shift or workloads increase.

Ultimately, you will become a trusted member of the team who can independently manage assigned events, communicates proactively, takes pride in delivering work to a high standard, and contributes positively to a supportive and collaborative team culture.
