About this opportunity
As an Event Manager in our B2B Marketing team, you’ll build experiences that bring our Corporate & Institutional Banking and Business & Commercial Banking businesses to life. You will lead the development of impactful events that engage senior decision-makers, highlight our team's expertise, and develop meaningful chances to deepen relationships with key clients and prospects.
Your work will span flagship events and thought-leadership platforms, senior client dinners, sponsorship activations, and major industry conferences. You’ll develop a clear understanding of the business priorities to fuel your event ideation, partner with marketing colleagues to shape it and pitch it to stakeholders, through to delivery, activation, measurement, and follow-up.
Collaborating with senior business partners, agencies, vendors and marketing colleagues, you’ll translate commercial priorities into compelling experiences. You’ll bring together content, brand, speakers, hospitality, technology, and communications, while linking events with broader campaigns and thought leadership.
You’ll also manage agencies, venues, and specialist partners, maintain oversight of budgets, timelines, governance, and risk, and use data, insight, and collaborator feedback to understand audience engagement and improve future activity.
Why join us
We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone.
What you'll need
- Event Management: Experience taking complex events or experiences from idea and audience planning through to successful delivery, including managing budgets, logistics, and different delivery requirements.
- Managing Key Relationships: Experience building effective relationships with senior business stakeholders, marketing colleagues and suppliers, managing competing priorities, and influencing decisions to achieve business and client outcomes.
- Event Strategy & Planning: The ability to grasp business priorities and convert them into organized event experiences, linking events with broader campaigns and thought leadership.
- Event Governance: Experience maintaining effective control of budgets, client data, event delivery platforms, workflows, budget management, reporting, risks, and delivery across complex marketing activity.
- Event Performance Analysis: The ability to interpret experience data, audience insight, and feedback, find opportunities for improvement, and use those insights to strengthen future activity.
- Collaboration: Experience working alongside various teams as well as external agencies, venues, and specialist partners to combine diverse expertise and achieve common goals.
- Customer Centricity: Using an audience-first approach to understand what matters to clients and prospects and build activity around their needs, enabled by a clear understanding of financial services and the clients we serve.
And any experience of this would be really useful
- Brand Strategy & Brand Management: Applying brand thinking to develop experiences that build reputation and strengthen how audiences perceive an organization.
