Its highly rated, mobile-first product helps customers create estimates, send invoices and get paid without becoming software experts. This is a builder’s role. We want a designer who prototypes at speed, often with AI tools, puts ideas in front of customers early, and works as a true partner to product and engineering rather than at the end of a handoff. You’ll report to the Design Manager.

What You’ll Own in Your First Year

• Shipped, measurable improvements to onboarding and early customer experiences.
• Thoughtful information architecture for the features you design, so new capabilities fit naturally into the app.
• A faster design rhythm, with ideas tested as interactive prototypes with customers in days.
• Contributions to our design system that keep new features consistent and simple across iOS, Android and web.
• AI-powered experiences that feel natural, trustworthy and easy to control.
• Strong, trusted working relationships with your product and engineering partners.

Responsibilities

• Prototype fast, learn faster: Turn ideas into interactive prototypes in hours or days, using Figma, AI prototyping tools or code. Put them in front of customers early, learn what works and iterate before engineering time is committed.
• Protect simplicity as the product grows: As Invoice Simple expands into payments, bookkeeping and AI, help answer the information architecture questions in your areas: where new capabilities live, what stays out of the way, and how navigation scales without clutter. Help the product do more while feeling like it does less.
• Think beyond the screen: Look across the journeys you work on to find the biggest experience problems and opportunities. Bring evidence-based recommendations that help your squad decide what to tackle next.
• Design for outcomes: Work toward your squads’ activation, retention and conversion goals. Design experiments, read results with your PM and analyst, and let customer behaviour shape the next iteration.
• Design AI people trust: Create experiences where AI completes real work for customers while keeping them informed and in control, especially when money is involved.
• Be a seamless partner: Work side by side with product managers and engineers from discovery through delivery. Share work early, sweat the implementation details, and contribute to our design system so quality holds across iOS, Android and web.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

• 3+ years designing digital products, with a portfolio of shipped mobile and web work and the impact it had.
• Strong interaction design skills and a solid grasp of information architecture, including simplifying complex workflows for non-technical users.
• Rapid prototyping skills in Figma and AI-assisted prototyping or coding tools. Be ready to show something you prototyped quickly.
• Experience designing consumer, SMB or self-serve products. Experience with growth goals such as activation, conversion or retention is an asset.
• Comfort with research and data: running customer sessions, reading analytics and designing experiments.
• Familiarity with native iOS and Android patterns and with working in a design system.
• Experience with payments, fintech or financial products is an asset.
• A maker at heart who would rather show an idea than describe it.

Where:

The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in Canada – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 CAD per year. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
