Executive Assistant - Founder & CEO
Mazal CapitalAbout Mazal Capital
Mazal Capital is a family office that invests in entrepreneurship through acquisition in the United States and internationally. We invest across traditional and self-funded search, rollups, and long-term holds, and have invested in over 40 platforms and 35 search funds in the past three years.
We are a lean team running a fast-paced, high-volume investment practice: an active pipeline of live opportunities, a full daily schedule of calls with co-investors, searchers, portfolio company executives, and sellers, and frequent domestic and international travel.
The Role
The Executive Assistant will work directly with our Founder, who leads the firm's investment activity, senior relationships, and final investment decisions. The ideal candidate brings experience supporting a principal in an investment or financial services setting, exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the judgment to act independently with sensitive information and important relationships.
You will sit at the center of everything the firm does: every deal, every relationship, and every trip runs through the calendar and inbox you manage. For the right person, this role grows with the firm, with a path toward broader operations over time.
This is a fully remote, virtual position working United States Eastern Time hours.
To join our team, you should be excited to:
- Manage and maintain the Founder's calendar in its entirety, including recurring investor, portfolio, and deal-related calls across multiple time zones, prioritizing appropriately and using sound judgment to resolve complex and frequently changing scheduling needs
- Serve as gatekeeper and primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, proactively managing communication and responding to urgent inquiries on the Founder's behalf
- Own inbox management: triage correspondence, surface time-sensitive and deal-critical items, draft responses in the Founder's voice, and ensure that every relationship and live opportunity receives timely follow-up
- Arrange and manage intensive domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries, trip logistics, and rapid re-planning when schedules change
- Prepare the Founder for meetings by compiling relevant materials and context, and track and drive completion of action items and follow-ups afterward
- Maintain the firm's CRM and contact records with accuracy and discipline, ensuring pipeline activity and relationship history remain current
- Handle highly confidential information: deal materials, NDAs, financial documents, and investor communications with discretion and integrity
- Identify and implement improvements to administrative processes as the firm continues to grow
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting senior executives, partners, or principals, with prior experience in investment management, private equity, venture capital, family office, or financial services strongly preferred
- A professional remote working environment and the ability to work full-time on US Eastern hours
- Proactive, positive, and personable, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to take initiative
- Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under time pressure
- Discretion, diplomacy, and excellent judgment; a high degree of integrity when dealing with confidential and sensitive information
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong calendar management and prioritization skills
- Advanced proficiency with Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Workspace, as well as Zoom and CRM platforms (HubSpot experience a plus)
- Experience in investor relations, client services, or fund administration is a plus
Compensation
