  • Prepare and develop Bills of Quantities, schedules of quantities, and other measurement documentation.
  • Measure architectural, structural, civil, and/or MEP elements as required by the project.
  • Review drawings and specifications to identify scope, discrepancies, omissions, and changes that may impact quantities or costs.
  • Maintain clear and auditable measurement records to support cost plans, estimates, and BoQs.
  • Assist with checking and reviewing measurement outputs produced by other team members.
  • Apply recognised measurement standards and project-specific measurement requirements consistently.

Cost Planning & Estimating

  • Support the preparation of feasibility studies, order-of-cost estimates, and detailed cost estimates.
  • Assist with the preparation and updating of cost plans through the design development process.
  • Analyse tender returns and historical project information to support the development of rates databases and estimates.
  • Assist in identifying cost movements, variances, and trends and communicate findings to senior team members.

Tender & Commercial Support

  • Support the preparation and review of Bills of Quantities.
  • Assist with the analysis and comparison of tender returns and identify pricing anomalies or areas requiring clarification.
  • Support post-contract measurement, valuations, variations, and change assessments where required.
  • Assist with cost control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate project records and documentation to support commercial reporting and decision-making.

Digital & Technical Delivery

  • Utilise quantity surveying, measurement, estimating, and cost management software as required.
  • Use BIM and digital measurement tools to extract, review, and validate quantities where appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain proficiency in relevant digital measurement and cost management technologies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of measurement processes and digital workflows within the AECOM Cost Management team.

Teamwork & Professional Development

  • Work effectively under the direction of Senior Project Surveyors and other senior members of the AECOM Cost Management team.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver work accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Demonstrate initiative, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Seek feedback and progressively take on greater responsibility as technical and commercial capability develops.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider project and cost management teams.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline from an accredited institution
  • Higher National Diploma, Higher Diploma, or equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience

UAE experience is not required for this role; applications are welcomed from suitably qualified candidates based overseas with relevant quantity surveying, measurement, or estimating experience who are interested in relocating to Dubai.
