Expression of Interest - Rebuilding our Organisation Deployment Opportunities - People Directorate

The People Directorate is seeking expressions of interest from motivated, resilient and proactive colleagues to support the Rebuilding our Organisation Programme. These opportunities will provide valuable experience of working on a high-profile organisational priority and supporting colleagues through a period of organisational change. Anticipated October start, dates to be agreed.

We are in the processes of identifying the requirements and as part of this we are seeking interest from colleagues to work on people change activity. Some opportunities will be to move to directly support the project whilst others could be alongside your current role. Involving colleagues with relevant knowledge and experience will help ensure that our approach is informed by what we know works based upon established best practice. We will be moving colleagues at the same grade (grade B and below):

  • We are seeking colleagues who would be interested in supporting the delivery of project management activities. This is a full-time opportunity and would play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of the programme.
  • We are also seeking colleagues who would be interested in working on the project providing project co-ordination support, again this would be on a full-time basis.
  • Further opportunities are available for colleagues to undertake job matching between current and any proposed job descriptions. Colleagues will be offered full training and support, this could be alongside your current role.
  • We would also welcome expressions of interest from colleagues who can offer support to delivery of people change processes and a positive employee experience through change, this could be alongside your current role.

Successful applicants will form part of a dedicated programme team within the People Directorate supporting the planning and delivery of people change activity across other areas of enabling services, policy and senior specialists and Strategy and Engagement. There will also be opportunities to work on an employee experience workstream to support colleagues through change.

About the Opportunities

These roles will support the implementation of people change activity arising from any cost improvements. The work will be fast-paced, highly visible and involve engagement with a range of stakeholders across the organisation.

We are seeking colleagues who can work independently, manage competing priorities, demonstrate resilience, and maintain a professional and supportive approach when dealing with sensitive and potentially complex people change matters. Training will be given on People Change processes.

How to Express an Interest

If you would like to be considered for any of the opportunities available, please submit a brief expression of interest (maximum 500 words) outlining:

1. Which opportunity you wish to be considered for (ie. a full-time role or to be involved in the project alongside your current role).

2. Your relevant skills and experience.

3. Why you are interested in the opportunity.

4. How you meet the key requirements outlined above.

Please submit your expression of interest by Friday 16th October 2026 at 11:59pm.

Please note that appointments will be made based on written submission.

You must have agreement from your line manager and Deputy Director before applying for any of these opportunities. As appointment to the full-time roles will be on a deployment basis, there will be no backfill for your current role.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a key organisational priority, gain experience of supporting large-scale change, and further develop your project management, coordination and stakeholder engagement skills within a supportive programme environment.

If you would like to discuss these opportunities in more detail, please contact Rebecca France, Deputy Director – People Strategy & Practice, via email at Rebecca.France@cqc.org.uk.
