Company Description AIA Singapore is part of AIA Group, the largest independent publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group and one of the world’s leading life insurance companies by market capitalization. In Singapore, AIA plays a key role in supporting social and economic progress by helping families live healthier, longer, better lives. The organization works closely with a large, committed team of Financial Service Consultants and dedicated staff to deliver trusted protection and long-term financial solutions. AIA Singapore partners with individuals, families, and corporate clients to build a more secure and prosperous future. The company is driven by a philosophy of “Doing the Right Thing, in the Right Way, with the Right People,” and operates in line with strong ethical and privacy standards.

Role Description The Financial Service Consultant is a full-time, hybrid role based in Singapore, with a mix of in-office client engagement and some work from home flexibility. In this role, the consultant meets with individual and corporate clients to understand their financial goals, protection needs, and risk profiles, and recommends suitable insurance and financial solutions. Daily responsibilities include conducting financial reviews, preparing tailored proposals, following up with clients on policy applications, and providing ongoing service and policy updates. The role involves prospecting for new clients, maintaining long-term relationships with existing clients, and staying informed about AIA products, regulatory requirements, and market trends. The consultant also collaborates with team members, attends training sessions, and participates in events and outreach activities to promote financial wellness and AIA’s solutions.

Qualifications

  • Strong client advisory skills, including the ability to assess financial needs, explain complex concepts clearly, and recommend suitable insurance and financial solutions.
  • Sales and relationship management capabilities, such as prospecting, networking, building trust with clients, and maintaining long-term partnerships.
  • Analytical and planning skills for conducting financial reviews, interpreting data, and developing structured financial and protection plans.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including professional presentation, active listening, and the ability to work effectively with diverse client profiles and internal teams.
  • Self-motivation and resilience, with the ability to manage targets, handle rejection constructively, and work independently in a hybrid environment.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple client cases, follow up promptly, and keep accurate records.
  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms for remote meetings, policy servicing, and ongoing client communication.
  • Minimum diploma or degree in any discipline; relevant qualifications in finance, business, or insurance are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in financial services, insurance, banking, or client-facing roles is beneficial but not mandatory; fresh graduates with strong drive are welcome.
