Company Description

WiCool is a Cooling-as-a-Service (CaaS) company building the infrastructure that powers Africa’s cold economy. The organization provides businesses and communities with reliable access to cooling infrastructure, ice products, and cold-chain logistics through flexible service models that reduce the need for large upfront investments. Its integrated platform delivers cooling infrastructure, ice supply, and cold-chain services, including storage, transportation, and last-mile delivery. WiCool serves fisheries, food and beverage businesses, hospitality operators, healthcare providers, retailers, agricultural producers, and underserved communities across Africa. By combining technology, logistics, and innovative financing, WiCool is making cooling more accessible, affordable, and sustainable, with a mission to ensure reliable cooling for every business and community in Africa.

Role Description

The Field Sales Representative is a full-time hybrid role based in Lagos, with a mix of on-site client visits and periodic work from home. This role focuses on identifying and engaging prospective customers across key sectors such as fisheries, food and beverage, hospitality, healthcare, retail, and agriculture, and promoting WiCool’s cooling, ice, and cold-chain solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include generating leads, conducting sales visits and product demos, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. The Field Sales Representative will maintain strong relationships with existing customers, gather market feedback, and collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery. The role also involves tracking sales performance, reporting on pipeline and activities, and contributing insights to improve go-to-market strategies in the Lagos and wider regional market.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in field sales, business development, or account management, preferably in FMCG, logistics, energy, cooling, or related sectors.
  • Strong ability to identify prospects, build relationships, and manage a sales pipeline from lead generation to closing.
  • Solid communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain technical or service-based solutions in clear, practical terms.
  • Comfort working in the field across Lagos, including informal markets and underserved communities, with willingness to travel locally as needed.
  • Basic understanding of cold-chain, refrigeration, or service-based business models is an advantage, along with interest in technology-enabled solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, meet targets, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools, spreadsheets, and digital communication platforms to track activities and report on performance.
  • Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical, inclusive, and customer-centric practices, with a passion for improving access to essential services in Africa.
