Diagnoses system failures and determines most cost-effective solution. Escalates complex issues to greater level of technical support or quality reporting system. May develop new customer service/product agreements. Responds to customer support calls within an assigned territory (Western Region). With continued growth, especially in support and field service we are looking to expand our team with an immediate opening for a Field Service Technician for the Western U.S. Region based out of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. This position is part of the Field Technical Service department located in Los Angeles, CA and will be remote. In this role, a typical day will look like: Be part of the team of technical experts providing technical support and field service for the full line of In-Situ Process Sensors and Analyzers (In-Situ, ChemScan and Partech products). Perform on-site Installation, calibration, and training of process sensors and on-line water analysis instrumentation. Assist customers to maximize product reliability (usable data - up-time) through remote and on-site service and replacement parts. Coordinate with site owners and contractors to ensure successful equipment installation. Manage regional customer relationships to nurture service and support. Assist Regional Sales Manager with technical support and pilot/demo projects. Attend regular product and application training at an In-Situ Process facility. Maintain accurate field service kit inventory. Able to write detailed service reports detailing troubleshooting, parts used and analyzer data. Review with Customer on unmet needs, promotion of service offerings, and generation of leads and closure support for service jobs/offerings The essential requirements of the job include: High School Diploma or GED Preferred 2 years experience in Troubleshooting & Diagnostics Mechanical Knowledge A strong technical background with good mechanical and electrical skills. Completed a chemistry course with basic understanding. Experience with industrial instrumentation including basic knowledge of PLC equipment communication. Have good communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office. Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time to customer sites. Ability to travel with and lift/carry field service supply kit weighing between 50 – 65 pounds. Must be able to complete tasks in noisy environments Working Environment and Physical Conditions: Remote employee, primarily at customer sites; may be indoors or outdoors. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The compensation range for this role is $75,000 - $85,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
