WorkCover Queensland is entering an exciting new chapter, guided by a renewed strategic focus and strong executive leadership shaping our 2030 Strategy. We’re embarking on an enterprise-wide transformation to strengthen our impact and continue making a positive difference in people’s lives.
The Opportunity
As a File Release Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring claim information is released accurately, securely and on time to the regulator. Working within a high-volume environment, you will coordinate the end-to-end preparation, quality assurance and certification of claim file releases, ensuring compliance with privacy obligations, regulatory requirements and organisational standards. Your work will directly support external stakeholders in making informed decisions while protecting sensitive information and maintaining the integrity of claim records.
This is a role that combines technical document management expertise with strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills. You will investigate and resolve file release issues, manage competing priorities and liaise with the Regulator review unit and internal stakeholders to facilitate compliant file releases.
About You
You are a highly organised and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a structured, compliance-focused environment. With strong judgement, communication skills and a proactive approach, you balance accuracy, quality and tight deadlines while maintaining strict standards of privacy, confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in records management, information release, document management and control or a similar administrative environment.
- Sound understanding of privacy, confidentiality and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in document management systems, PDF editing tools and digital records.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, particularly for complex information release issues.
- Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and regulatory requirements accurately and consistently.
