What’s the role?

The Service Owner, Advanced Credit Risk Modelling & Data is responsible for defining and executing Consumer Finance's credit risk modelling and data asset strategy, establishing and leading the in-house credit risk data assets and modelling capability. The role will build a high-performing team of data scientists and modellers to develop market-leading credit risk models, data assets and modelling intellectual property that strengthen risk management and create sustainable competitive advantage across the Consumer Finance value chain.

Working closely with Line 1 Credit Risk & Pricing, Line 2 Credit Risk, Model Validation, Model Monitoring, Data, Technology and Architecture teams, the Service Owner will shape the future of Consumer Finance's modelling, data and analytical landscape, leveraging modern platforms, reusable frameworks, advanced analytics and emerging technologies to deliver better customer and business outcomes.

What do I need?

• Experienced leader with a strong track record of driving and delivering change.
• Extensive experience in credit risk modelling or model validation, including IRB, provisioning and scorecard models.
• Advanced knowledge of credit risk, APRA prudential standards, Basel and IFRS9.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly and influence effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a results-focused and resourceful approach.
• Advanced SAS, R, Python, SQL and Excel skills; Git and Jupyter experience is advantageous.
