Along with our waterways we also manage museums, archives and the country's third largest collection of historic buildings, as well as the nature and wildlife that calls our canals home. All of this enables us to provide wellbeing opportunities for millions of people each year.

  • Maintain and update grant management records, databases, and registers to ensure funding information is accurate and up to date.
  • Accurately process and input donor and funding data using Trust systems, including SharePoint, SAP, and Sugar CRM.
  • Monitor and manage shared inboxes, responding to routine queries and directing information appropriately.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Trust policies, funding agreement requirements, and relevant internal and external regulations.
  • Handle confidential financial, donor, and funding information securely and in accordance with data protection requirements.
  • Promote the Trust's values, behaviours, and commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.

About You

  • Proven experience in an administrative role within a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial administration and data management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately and follow established processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
