Finance Analyst - 12 months max term

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will support strong financial stewardship across the portfolio, with a focus on month-end execution, accurate reporting, financial controls, governance and compliance. This is a great opportunity for an Accountant or Finance Analyst who enjoys structured financial processes, problem solving, continuous improvement and working collaboratively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities Support month-end close activities including journals, balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks and opportunities Prepare and maintain key financial controls including BAS reconciliations, fixed asset reporting and intercompany processes Manage customer rebate calculations, reconciliations and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance Support daily, weekly and monthly sales reporting requirements across the business Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and business performance reporting Support audit requirements, group reporting and compliance activities Contribute to process improvement initiatives, financial control enhancements and reporting efficiencies You are a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and partnering with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. You will bring: Tertiary qualifications (or progress toward qualification) in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline Experience in a Financial Accountant, Assistant Accountant, Commercial Analyst or similar finance role Strong experience with month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting Understanding of journals, BAS, fixed assets and intercompany accounting processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience working with ERP and financial systems Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement Desirable CA/CPA qualification or currently working towards completion Experience within wholesale, distribution, retail or multi-site environments Why join Bapcor?
