The Finance Analyst, Forecasting and Modelling, is a key role in providing support for the delivery of fiscal sustainability, cost modelling and forecast analysis. The role will work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of the data for the financial projections and the mitigation actions for the budget pressure and providing required advice. This role will also support the development and provision of strategic cost modelling analysis and support the financial data integrity and efficient forecasting for the department’s fiscal position.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A qualification in accounting, finance or commerce or equivalent is desirable.
  • Knowledge of best practice budgeting within government, and knowledge of the Financial Management Act 1994 and the Resource Management Framework.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, reporting and forecasting.

There are two ongoing positions available. The work location for these positions is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
