The company now operates regionally across Australia and Malaysia with more than 100 community and healthcare enterprise partnerships, and is proudly backed by Temasek, Jungle Ventures, and East Ventures.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Associate to join our Finance team. Based remotely in Malaysia, you will support the day-to-day finance operations of our Singapore business.

The role will initially focus on billing and Accounts Receivable (AR), with opportunities to support other finance functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), expense management, financial reporting and general accounting, depending on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Billing & Accounts Receivable

  • Prepare and issue accurate and timely invoices to business partners and individual customers.
  • Monitor AR ageing, track outstanding balances and proactively follow up on overdue payments to ensure timely collections.
  • Maintain AR trackers, prepare regular ageing reports and highlight overdue accounts or collection issues requiring escalation.
  • Perform payment reconciliations, ensure accurate allocation of receipts and maintain up-to-date AR records.
  • Liaise with business partners and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies, payment queries and outstanding collection issues.
  • Support improvements to billing and collection processes to enhance efficiency and reduce overdue receivables.

2. Accounts Payable & Expense Management

  • Assist with processing supplier invoices, expense claims and payments.
  • Verify invoices and supporting documents for accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate payment and expense records.
  • Support vendor reconciliations and payment-related queries.

3. Financial Reporting & Analysis Support

  • Prepare and maintain financial data, reports and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Assist with data preparation for budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements.

4. General Accounting & Finance Operations

  • Assist with bookkeeping, journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support month-end closing activities and preparation of accounting schedules.
  • Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Support process improvements and other finance-related tasks as required.
  • Provide support across other finance functions and regional operations as required.
  • Continuously improve and optimize our financial workflows and conventions and use existing technology tools and applications to increase efficiency and automation.

The scope of responsibilities may evolve based on business priorities, providing opportunities to gain experience across different areas of Finance.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and finance operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience with Xero or other accounting software is an advantage.
  • Good attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good written and spoken English.
  • Able to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote working environment.

Who We're Looking For

  • Detail-Oriented & Accountable: Maintains accuracy, stays organised and takes ownership of assigned responsibilities.
  • Data Proficiency: Comfortable working with large datasets in Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to organise, reconcile and analyse data accurately and efficiently.
  • Adaptable & Open-Minded: Comfortable with changing priorities, willing to take on new responsibilities and embrace different ways of working.
  • Proactive & Resourceful: Takes initiative, approaches challenges with a problem-solving mindset and follows through on commitments.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Curious about new technologies, including AI and automation, and keen to explore ways to improve processes and efficiency.

Why Join Us?

  • Work remotely from Malaysia while gaining exposure to Singapore and regional finance operations.
  • Gain hands-on experience across billing, accounting and financial reporting.
