Job Description

Are you passionate about turning complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that shape business decisions? Then join our mission to pioneer smarter water solutions that reduce energy use and improve lives.

As our new WU Finance Business Analyst - SOCX, you'll be delivering financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for Sales Operations & Excellence (SOCX) that empowers leaders to make data-driven decisions and drive continuous improvement. You'll be part of a diverse, supportive and inclusive culture, that celebrates our differences and puts people first by fostering growth, well-being, and a sense of belonging.

As a key part of the WU Finance Business Partnering team, you'll create impact by translating financial and operational data into standardized, accessible insights that accelerate decision-making and reduce manual effort across the organization.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Perform financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for CSO and SOCX, identifying trends, patterns, and root causes that inform business strategy
  • Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations for business reviews and corrective actions
  • Develop standardized reports and reusable analytical tools that give stakeholders consistent, self-service access to financial information
  • Leverage company-approved AI and digital tools to automate recurring activities and drive measurable reductions in manual effort without compromising controls
  • Partner with Finance Business Partners and SOCX leadership to continuously improve decision support and transform how financial work is performed
  • Conduct root cause analysis on financial variances and proactively surface inefficiencies and opportunities for operational improvement

Above all, you're an analytically rigorous finance professional who combines deep accounting knowledge with strong communication skills, able to distill complex analyses into easy-to-understand formats that enable stakeholders to act decisively.

We'd also imagine that you are/have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, controlling, or finance business partnering
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SAP)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and performance management frameworks

It's a plus if you also:

  • Experience with AI-powered analytics or automation tools for financial processes
  • Background in supporting M&A, sales operations, or commercial excellence functions
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and enterprise reporting platforms in a global organization

Day to day, you can look forward to:

  • A working environment built around your needs, with flexible hours, home working opportunities and parental support.
  • Annual bonuses, health insurance and a strong focus on well-being activities.
  • Three days' additional paid leave for volunteering.
  • On-demand training and structured development programmes to support your growth.

Valuing our differences helps us see possibilities where others can't. We therefore welcome and encourage applications from all abilities, experiences, and backgrounds. As part of our commitment to a safe and compliant hiring process, final candidates may be required to undergo a background check, subject to applicable local laws and regulations.
