JL Closets, South Florida’s leader in high-end custom storage solutions, is looking for a Finance Control & Reporting Manager to oversee our financial operations, strengthen internal controls, ensure accurate financial reporting, and lead our remote team based in Argentina.

This isn’t your typical back-office role—you’ll be a key part of our leadership structure, helping us scale efficiently, improve financial processes, and provide insights that support strategic growth. If you're experienced in accounting, financial controls, and reporting, and passionate about people and process improvement, this could be the perfect fit.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Manage payroll, bank and credit card reconciliations, and overall bookkeeping
• Lead and mentor two bookkeepers in Argentina, setting clear expectations and reviewing deliverables
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, providing actionable insights for leadership
• Monitor budgets and cash flow to support informed business decisions
• Strengthen internal financial controls and ensure accurate, complete, and reliable financial records
• Partner with external accountants on tax filings, audits, and year-end processes
• Identify and implement improvements in financial reporting, accounting workflows, systems, and team processes
• Establish consistent accounting procedures and reporting standards to improve efficiency and accountability

What You Bring

• 15+ years of finance or accounting experience, with a strong track record in leadership
• Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting tools
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, and financial compliance
• Solid understanding of financial statements, internal controls, and accounting procedures
• Experience managing remote teams, reviewing work, and improving team performance
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• A sharp eye for detail, strong organizational habits, and a proactive mindset
• A leadership approach that balances accountability with coaching and team development
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and improve financial processes
