Nosto is hiring a Finance & HR Director
As Finance & HR Director, you will play a pivotal role in leading Nosto's overall financial strategy, corporate governance, fiscal operations, and people management as a global leader in Commerce Experience management for digital brands and retailers. You will report to the CEO of Nosto, leading both the Finance and Human Resources domains while setting the financial and people vision, immediate priorities, and roadmap for the coming years. Additionally, you'll be part of the executive leadership team with a global view and decision-making capacity on how the company is managed.

This role will report directly to the CEO of Nosto and collaborate closely with the Board of Directors. The location for this position is preferably in Helsinki, with international and domestic travel required for leadership and board alignment.

You’ll lead a hands-on finance and HR team across accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, talent acquisition and HR operations. You will interface across multiple stakeholder spectrums including internal teams, candidates, investors, partners, and legal. You'll set the standard for our financial planning, people practices and employee experience across multiple regions and time zones.

The role suits a hands-on leader who enjoys building efficient processes, uses modern tools and AI to keep the function lean, and can move between a budget review and an employee relations case on the same day.

The overarching responsibility involves leading and developing a combined Finance & HR team, and to;

• Oversee global financial operations, accounting, group reporting, treasury, tax and FP&A across all operating jurisdictions.

• Act as a role model and leader to inspire finance and HR teams, managing team composition, skills, retention, and personal development across all regions.

• Work closely with Finance team members for group accounting, audit processes, as well as regular shareholder and board reporting

• Work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Managers, and Board of Directors to align financial strategies and people operations with business goals.

• Partner with commercial and operational leaders to optimize SaaS economics, monitoring unit metrics such as LTV/CAC, Payback, Net Retention, and New ACV.

• Maintain rigorous internal control frameworks, enterprise risk management, and compliance with labor laws, regulations, and corporate policies.

• Drive automation and technological modernization in finance and HR operations, utilizing modern tools and AI agents for efficiency.

• Manage the accounts receivables and accounts payables processes to optimize cash flow management

• Monitor and continuously improve payment and collections of funds to and from partners and clients, with focus on collections processes and rates

• Set the people strategy and HR roadmap in line with business goals, with the CEO and Leadership Team

• Ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations, and the effectiveness of HR processes and systems.

• Consistently research new HR best practices, interact with partners, and find opportunities for Nosto to deliver value for our employees.

• Run company-wide people processes: salary reviews, promotion calendars, performance cycles and benefits reviews

• Support HR business partners on employee relations cases, retention and team development

• Oversee talent acquisition and onboarding, with recruiting partners for volume or specialist hiring

• Ensure compliance with employment law across operating countries, using internal and external counsel where needed

• Represent Nosto with auditors, insurers and government agencies on people matters, and take part in CBA negotiations where relevant

• Partner with the Board on governance, executive compensation and company policies

• Proven experience as a senior finance executive and preferably HR leader, ideally within a global SaaS or technology company.

• Deep knowledge of operating in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment with international teams.

• Strategic mindset with strong command of SaaS business models, unit economics, and corporate finance.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial narrative and people vision clearly to leadership, board members, and global teams.
