Our opportunity
Join our Brisbane office as a Finance Systems and Reporting Analyst, reporting to the Financial Controller. In this role, you will leverage reporting and analytical tools to deliver accurate, timely reporting across the Finance function. You will lead system testing, process optimisation and automation initiatives, while representing Finance in cross-functional projects. Acting as a key liaison between Finance, IT and offshore Shared Services teams, you will support effective service delivery, timely issue resolution and alignment with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate and timely reporting across the Finance function, including Accounting, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Use reporting and analytical tools to provide insights that support business decision-making.
- Identify, investigate and resolve process, system and data discrepancies impacting financial reporting and operational performance.
- Act as the Finance Business Process Owner for relevant systems, processes and reporting requirements.
- Represent Finance in cross-functional projects, including system, process and reporting changes.
- Coordinate SAP systems testing for configuration, process and reporting changes.
- Improve operational efficiency across Invoice to Pay and Order to Cash processes.
- Act as the primary liaison between Finance and offshore Shared Services teams to support timely issue resolution and effective service delivery.
- Support knowledge transfer, process documentation, user training and change management activities.
- Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives across Finance.
A successful candidate for this role is someone who is highly analytical, systems-minded and comfortable working across Finance, IT and Shared Services stakeholders. You will bring strong attention to detail, sound judgement and a continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to turn complex financial, systems and reporting information into practical insights and solutions.
This Position Is Ideal For An Applicant With
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar finance systems, reporting, accounting or business process role, ideally within FMCG or a complex corporate environment.
- Advanced SAP capability, with hands-on experience across finance modules, system transactions, reporting functionality and configuration testing.
- Advanced Excel skills, including data modelling, reconciliations, complex formulas and financial analysis.
- Working knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting tools, with the ability to develop dashboards, reporting packs and actionable insights.
- Strong understanding of finance processes and controls, including Invoice to Pay, Order to Cash and related transaction workflows.
- Practical experience in data extraction, validation and reconciliation, including investigation of system or process discrepancies.
- Proven systems testing and process improvement experience, including process documentation, user support, automation and continuous improvement activities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Finance, IT, offshore Shared Services teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and support effective service delivery.
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or a complex multi-site business environment.
- Exposure to finance transformation, ERP improvement projects or shared services optimisation.
- Experience supporting change management, user training or knowledge transfer activities.
