The role

This is a highly visible role for a finance professional who enjoys combining operational excellence with continuous improvement. As Controller, you will take ownership of the financial control environment, ensuring accurate reporting, strong compliance, and scalable processes that support the next stage of VectorY's growth.
You will lead the accounting and reporting cycle, drive process optimisation initiatives, and provide financial insights that help the business make better decisions.

This role is for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving ways of working, and taking ownership in a dynamic environment where your impact will be visible from day one.

What you'll do

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare management reports, analyses and insights that support business decision-making
• Ensure the integrity of the general ledger
• Coordinate the annual audit process and act as a key contact for external auditors
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls, accounting policies and financial governance
• Drive process improvements across accounting, reporting and finance operations
• Lead finance systems optimisation initiatives
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management activities
• Partner with stakeholders across the organisation

What you bring

• 7+ years of experience in accounting, financial control, audit or a comparable finance role
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles and internal controls
• A track record of improving processes, systems and ways of working
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in an international and fast-growing biotech environment is a strong plus
