As a Financial Controller at Sendcloud, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial records across a fast-growing, international group of entities. You'll take ownership of month-end close activities, contribute to statutory reporting, and help strengthen the financial systems and controls that support our scaling business.

🧐 The Role

• Contribute to day-to-day accounting and month-end close processes for our international group of entities.

• Ensure accounting records are maintained in line with local GAAP and IFRS standards, and prepare statutory financial statements.

• Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard financial data and support external audits.

• Work across our tech stack—NetSuite, procurement, and payment tools—to keep data accurate and processes efficient.

🎯 What you'll do

• Own month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and IFRS.

• Maintain and enhance internal controls across financial systems, identifying gaps and implementing improvements to strengthen controls.

• Support external audits and regulatory compliance, preparing documentation and reconciliations as required.

• Use data analysis and automation tools to streamline recurring accounting tasks and improve process efficiency.

• Partner with teams across business control, FP&A, accounts payable, and credit control to optimise financial processes and strengthen data integrity.

• Identify and investigate accounting issues, and communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.

• You communicate clearly and aren't afraid to ask questions or challenge how things are done.

• You're comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment where priorities can shift, and you genuinely enjoy working with colleagues across teams.

Professionally

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience, ideally gained at an audit firm, now looking to make the move into a business role.

• Strong accounting knowledge (IFRS and/or local GAAP) with a solid grasp of month/year-end close processes.

• Knowledge of ERP systems—NetSuite knowledge is a plus.

• Strong Excel skills and experience with data analysis.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
