Senior Accountant / Financial Controller
Location: Remote - Poland / UK.
Duration: 12 Months
Working Language: English
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Financial Controller to support financial reporting, statutory accounting, audit management and compliance activities for multinational entities across the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support statutory financial statements and annual external audits.
- Manage month-end closing activities and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Own US GAAP balance sheet reporting and corporate financial submissions.
- Perform financial analysis, account reconciliations and variance reviews.
- Oversee outsourced accounting and shared-service operations.
- Manage tax accounting, payroll reconciliations and regulatory reporting.
- Coordinate with external auditors, corporate finance teams and international stakeholders.
- Support corporate governance, board reporting and special accounting projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
- Significant accounting experience within a multinational organisation.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and statutory financial reporting.
- Proven experience managing external audits and preparing financial statements.
- Strong month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
- Knowledge of tax accounting and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing outsourced or shared-service accounting teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.
Desirable Experience
- ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- HFM (Hyperion Financial Management), BlackLine and SAP experience.
- Experience supporting UK entities and EMEA financial operations.
- Experience presenting financial results to senior management.
