Introduction:

A fast-growing US financial advisory business is looking for a remote FP&A Manager to support a portfolio of high-growth technology companies.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role combining financial modelling, forecasting, management reporting and strategic analysis. You’ll work closely with senior finance professionals while gaining exposure to multiple venture-backed businesses and the commercial decisions that shape their growth.

The role would suit someone with strong FP&A and modelling experience who enjoys working independently, solving complex financial problems and operating in fast-moving startup environments.

Note that the role requires some availability during US Pacific Time business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with senior finance professionals to deliver high-quality FP&A support across a portfolio of fast-growing technology businesses.
• Develop financial models that help leadership teams understand growth, cash requirements, operating performance and future business scenarios.
• Support planning cycles by turning business assumptions and operational data into robust forecasts and actionable financial insights.
• Investigate performance against plan, identifying the commercial drivers behind movements and highlighting areas requiring attention.
• Create concise, decision-useful financial reporting for senior management and other key stakeholders.
• Provide analytical support on strategic questions spanning growth, profitability, capital requirements, business economics and investment decisions.
• Manage individual modelling and analytical assignments from initial brief through to final delivery, ensuring work is accurate, clearly documented and completed on time.
• Work with financial and operational datasets to identify trends, improve visibility and support better decision-making across client businesses.
• Apply AI tools to streamline analysis, strengthen model reviews and improve the efficiency and quality of recurring finance workflows.

Qualifications and Experience:

• CA (SA) or CGMA with 6+ years of finance experience, ideally across FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity or similarly analytical environments.
• Strong hands-on experience in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting and performance analysis, with advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
• Experience within high-growth or venture-backed technology businesses is preferred, with an understanding of fast-paced startup environments.
• Strong commercial and analytical capability, including exposure to areas such as valuation, fundraising, unit economics or investment analysis, with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently; must be comfortable working with some overlap during US Pacific Time business hours.
