The FP&A Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping organisational strategy and financial sustainability through commercial insight, planning, pricing, performance management and decision support. Partnering closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Finance Audit & Risk Committee and Board, you will establish a high-performing commercial finance function that drives transparency, accountability and operational excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop service costing methodologies, pricing frameworks and funding models.
  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • Deliver Board, Executive and business performance reporting.
  • Partner with operational leaders to improve financial performance and accountability.
  • Lead financial modelling, business cases and scenario analysis for strategic initiatives.
  • Support tenders, funding opportunities and commercial decision-making.
  • Build business partnering capability across the organisation.
  • Drive reporting, data analytics and business intelligence capability.
  • Optimise financial systems, reporting tools and processes.
  • Strengthen governance, controls and performance management frameworks.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a growing team of analysts and finance business partners.

About You

You are an experienced FP&A, Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partnering leader who thrives in complex, purpose-driven environments. You combine strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders, lead teams and translate financial information into meaningful business outcomes.

You'll bring:

  • CA or CPA qualification.
  • Significant experience within FP&A, commercial finance, strategic finance or business partnering leadership roles.
  • Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and planning expertise.
  • Experience developing pricing, costing and funding frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including exposure to Executive and Board-level reporting.
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience driving systems, reporting and process improvements.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to convert data into actionable insights.

Experience within community services, healthcare, not-for-profit, government-funded or similarly complex environments will be highly regarded.

Why Join ACSO?

  • Executive leadership visibility and direct CFO partnership.
  • Newly created role with significant influence and scope.
  • Opportunity to shape organisational strategy and financial sustainability.
  • Strong commercial and transformation agenda.
  • Values-led culture with genuine social purpose.
  • Hybrid working environment based in Melbourne.
  • Competitive salary and salary packaging benefits.
