🏢 About the Company

Our client is a US-based transportation company specializing in heavy-haul trucking. Founded in 2020, the company operates a fleet of approximately 60+ trucks and provides transportation services across the United States.

The team operates internationally, with employees based both in the US and Eastern Europe.

The company is looking for a Fleet Assistant to support the Fleet Manager with daily fleet operations, coordination, and administrative processes.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• 🚚 Monitor the condition of trucks and trailers, including repairs, maintenance, and downtime.
• 🔩 Coordinate with repair shops: submit requests, collect estimates, track timelines, and monitor the quality of completed work.
• 📋 Maintain vehicle records, including registration, insurance, documentation, and expiration dates.
• 📞 Communicate with drivers regarding breakdowns, repairs, and scheduled maintenance.
• 📊 Work with Samsara and other telematics systems to identify vehicles that require attention.
• 📈 Maintain fleet spreadsheets and reports, preparing brief daily updates for the Fleet Manager.
• ⚙️ Help develop internal procedures, checklists, and SOPs for fleet operations.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in logistics or transportation (fleet management, dispatch, technical department, auto service) or a strong background in operations.
• Understanding of the US trucking industry.
• Fluent spoken and written English, as you will regularly communicate with the US team and repair vendors.
• Confident user of Google Sheets and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage tasks independently and follow through without constant supervision.
• Availability to work Central Time: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST.

⭐ Nice to Have

• Experience with Samsara, Motive, or other ELD systems.
• Technical knowledge of commercial trucks.
• Familiarity with Flatbed, Step-deck, and RGN trailers.
