Flooring Estimator and Takeoff Specialist

The role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented takeoff specialist to measure flooring quantities from construction drawings so our team can bid jobs quickly and accurately. You’ll work remotely, turning bid sets into clean, organized takeoffs on deadline.

What you’ll do

• Do quantity takeoffs from architectural plans, finish plans and finish schedules
• Measure carpet, carpet tile, LVT/LVP, resilient, tile, stone and wood flooring (SF/SY)
• Measure base, transitions and accessories (LF)
• Lay out seams, roll cuts and patterns, and apply waste factors
• Review flooring spec sections (Division 09) and addenda, and flag scope gaps, conflicts and open questions
• Organize takeoffs by floor, area and finish code
• Meet bid deadlines and turn revisions around quickly
• Price materials with pre-approved suppliers

What we’re looking for

• 2+ years of flooring takeoff experience, with commercial work strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff or Measure Square
• Comfort reading large commercial bid sets, finish schedules and specs
• Strong attention to detail and clear written English
• Ability to value engineer
• Reliable internet and availability during Eastern Time hours
