About the Mission

TerraByte Green is a non-profit startup based in North Carolina, focused on the intersection of digital equity and environmental sustainability. We manage e-waste responsibly by refurbishing technology to bridge the digital divide. While our Board of Directors is established, we are still in the pre-launch phase. We are seeking a North Carolina-based partner with a Co-Founder mindset to help the organization transition from the planning phase to active community impact.

The Big Picture

We have laid the foundational groundwork and completed our initial Board meetings, but we are now looking for a dedicated partner to help build our infrastructure from the ground up. This is a hybrid role that requires residency in North Carolina to assist with local operations and community partnerships. The person in this role will be responsible for bringing our vision to life as a functioning organization, with a specific focus on our inaugural internship program.

What You Will Build

• Shape the organization as a Co-Founder by building operational workflows from scratch.

• Design and manage our first internship program to train and mentor new IT talent in NC

• Develop the administrative processes and documentation needed for professional scaling.

• Join the Board of Directors to contribute to the strategic and legal growth of the non-profit.

• Assist with the development of revenue-generating services and local grant applications.

• Work closely with the leadership team to transform TerraByte Green into a thriving and sustainable business.

Future Compensation

TerraByte Green is currently in its startup phase and does not yet generate revenue to cover salaries. This is a volunteer role with the intent of transitioning into a paid executive position. As we achieve our revenue milestones through services and funding, our priority is to compensate the leadership team for the expertise and time they have invested during this build phase.

Requirements & Onboarding

• Must reside in North Carolina to accommodate hybrid meetings and local operational needs

• Experience in IT, Project Management, or Operations is highly preferred.

• To ensure our vision aligns, we will begin with a 60-day trial period as a Senior Advisor.

• Upon successful completion, the candidate will be formally appointed to the Board of Directors with full Co-Founder recognition
