If you are an enthusiastic professional interested in being part of a fast-growing company with strong engineering and research culture, we are looking for a passionate FPGA Engineer to join our team and help us build the next generation of automotive connectivity and computing platforms.
Disruptive mobility tech companies like Technica are driving the changes in electronics architecture that the industry needs to accelerate the arrival of the software-defined vehicle (SDV) era, and in this context our ability to deliver rapid prototyping hardware products is more critical than ever. FPGA technology plays a key role in enabling the flexibility, performance, and real-time capabilities required by these new architectures.
Technica is a product-oriented company, that continuously reinvest to stay ahead of the curve, and our interdisciplinary team is focused on the development of company own products roadmap and on innovative R&D electronics development projects with major customers.
We’re looking for someone with at least 2 years of hands-on FPGA development experience who wants to take real ownership of technical challenges and grow within a highly multidisciplinary environment.
We value people who are curious to dig deep into how our hardware products work and are comfortable navigating complex electronic designs. Someone who is self-driven, takes initiative, and is not afraid to explore unfamiliar problems, challenge assumptions, or step beyond the boundaries of the role when needed. Just as importantly, we are looking for a strong team player who works closely with the development team and helps move topics forward.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Design, develop, simulate, and test FPGA modules for automotive connectivity and computing applications.
Implement FPGA firmware for in-house hardware platforms, with a strong focus on functionality, reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
Participate in the complete FPGA development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture definition through implementation, simulation, integration, and validation.
Work closely with hardware engineers in the development of FPGA-based electronic assemblies, including schematic reviews, FPGA-related component selection, pinout definition, and layout constraints.
Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers to integrate and validate FPGA designs within complete products.
Perform laboratory testing, debugging, and optimization of FPGA designs and hardware platforms.
Use simulation and on-chip debugging tools to identify and solve functional and timing-related issues.
Create and maintain technical documentation for FPGA modules, interfaces, architectures, and test procedures.
Contribute to improving FPGA development, verification, and automation methodologies within the team.
Take ownership of assigned technical topics, proactively identify blockers, propose solutions, and drive them through implementation and validation.
Develop prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies, architectures, and ideas.
Support product launch by aligning generated technical documentation to sales and customer-facing field support teams.
WHAT WE OFFER
A clear opportunity for professional growth in FPGA and digital hardware design, working on increasingly complex architectures and products.
A truly cross-functional engineering environment where FPGA, hardware, software, embedded systems, and system engineering work closely together.
Full flexibility to manage hybrid work model, depending on the tasks.
Company culture oriented to research engineering and a clear reinvestment mindset in research and know-how acquisition.
Opportunity to work at the forefront of innovation in automotive industry within a company working as pure R&D partner for main European OEMs.
High diversity of state-of-the-art projects with technologies 3-4 years beyond what is currently in series production vehicles.
Opportunity to work in an international environment within a diverse team. International mobility options are available to discuss case-by-case.
30 working days as holidays, with full flexibility to manage them.
Private health insurance.
Regular team building activities with specific company budget.
Opportunity to further expand your training, from personal abilities to technical areas.
