Polixis is building the data foundation for trusted AI. A Swiss provider of advanced AML, KYC and risk-intelligence solutions, we deliver SaaS and DaaS products and regulatory intelligence services to financial institutions and corporations internationally — from our Geneva headquarters and our teams in Zurich, London and Yerevan. Founded in 2012, Polixis is bootstrapped and employee-owned, with no external VC or PE involvement.

𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗘

Polixis already works with an external Swiss accounting firm that handles day-to-day accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, tax filings and statutory obligations. The company also maintains an established financial reporting framework: existing financial models, reporting files and management templates.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱. You will not be asked to create a finance function from scratch, nor to replace the external accounting firm. Your principal responsibility is to keep our financial data, working files and reporting framework accurate and up to date — and to translate the available information into a clear monthly management briefing.

This is a practical, hands-on assignment. It calls for attention to detail, confidence working with financial data and a sound understanding of SaaS and recurring-revenue reporting.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨'𝗟𝗟 𝗗𝗢

- Collect, review and reconcile financial and operational information from our external accounting firm and internal systems.

- Maintain and update the company's existing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting files, financial models and management dashboards.

- Prepare a concise monthly management briefing: financial performance, material developments, variances, risks and recommended actions.

- Monitor revenue, expenditure, cash flow and budget-versus-actual performance.

- Keep the SaaS indicators current — MRR, ARR, recurring revenue, churn, customer concentration and gross margin.

- Review the consistency of information across accounting records, invoicing data, customer contracts and internal management files.

- Identify missing, inconsistent or outdated information, and coordinate with management and the external accounting firm to resolve it.

- Support periodic budgeting, forecasting and cash-flow planning.

- Assist management with ad hoc financial analysis and decision-support requests.

- Recommend practical improvements to reporting templates, controls and finance processes where appropriate.

- Liaise with the external accountant, fiduciary and other professional advisers when necessary.

The external accounting firm remains responsible for bookkeeping, payroll, tax filings, statutory accounts and other routine Swiss accounting obligations.

𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗔𝗥𝗘

- 𝗔 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹: previous experience as a fractional CFO, finance director, financial controller, finance manager or senior financial reporting professional.

- 𝗙𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗮𝗦: experience with a SaaS, technology, data or other recurring-revenue business is essential, with a strong understanding of subscription reporting and metrics.

- A demonstrated ability to maintain financial models, management reporting packs and structured finance files accurately and independently.

- Able to analyse financial information and present the conclusions that matter to management — clearly and concisely.

- Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.

- Precise and dependable: excellent attention to detail and respect for reporting deadlines.

- 𝗔 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁: you can demonstrate your status as a registered individual entrepreneur or consultancy, compliant with both Swiss legislation and the labour legislation of your home country. The engagement is on an independent-contractor basis only.

- Professionally fluent in English; French an advantage.

- Familiarity with Swiss accounting and financial-reporting practice is beneficial but not essential — Swiss statutory obligations are handled by our external firm.

𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗥𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧

- Predominantly remote, with availability for occasional video meetings with management during CET business hours.

- A few times a year, short travel within Europe — typically one day — may be required for business meetings with external partners; in such cases, Polixis covers the full travel cost.

- Independent contractor engagement only · flexible start date.
