About the role:

Contract: Freelance / Part-Time

Hours: Approximately 10-15 hours per week

Industry: Healthcare

Location: Toronto, ON (Remote, with occasional in-person sessions)

What you’ll do:

• Discovery & research: Partner with our team to understand user needs, uncover opportunities, and translate insights into product direction.
• Own end-to-end product design: Take ideas from problem definition and exploration through UX, UI, prototyping, and implementation.
• Enhance our design system: Maintain and add to our scalable system of design components, patterns, and documentation.
• Enable AI-powered design workflows: Make our design system usable through Claude, enabling the team to generate, iterate on, and build consistent product experiences.
• Drive quality through delivery: Collaborate closely with product and engineering to bring designs to life and ensure a high-quality final experience.
• Champion design excellence: Hold the product to a high bar for design quality, usability, and accessibility. Establish best practices and ensure experiences are intuitive.
