Compensation: $210,000 - $270,000/year USD + Competitive Equity

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Staff Product Designer to join their Agentic Marketing Platform team to help design and build creative tools for marketers, including an advanced Ad Studio. This role focuses on defining 0-to-1 visual editors, including AI-generated video workflows and a browser-based static visual editor. Operating as an autonomous startup within a high-growth company, you will partner closely with engineers to take complex concepts from ideation to production without heavy management layers. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Design, you will bring strong product thinking, deep craft, and hands-on comfort with AI tools to shape the next era of creative software.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product design from 0 to 1 for core creative surfaces, including static canvas visual editors and AI video generation and editing tools.

• Exercise near-PM product thinking to define requirements, navigate ambiguity, prioritize high-impact features, and self-direct execution.

• Collaborate directly in small, cross-functional squads with engineers to rapidly prototype, iterate, and ship high-quality desktop web experiences.

• Leverage modern AI workflow tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Figma) to accelerate design cycles and ship PRs using AI agents.

• Push the boundaries of the design system to establish novel, expressive, and consumer-grade interaction patterns suited for creative workflows.

• Communicate product decisions, design rationale, and project stories clearly and succinctly across the organization.

• Participate in design critiques and contribute to the broader design team culture through continuous feedback and shared craft standards.

Qualifications

• 5 to 20 years of product design experience, operating at a Staff level or upper Senior with a clear trajectory toward Staff (individual contributor track).

• Demonstrated track record of opting into early-stage, fast-paced startup environments multiple times.

• Proven experience taking desktop web products from 0 to 1 with speed and autonomy in ambiguous spaces.

• Strong foundation in product strategy and systems thinking, with the ability to own problem discovery and product definition.

• Hands-on comfort utilizing AI-assisted developer and design tools (such as Figma, Claude Code, or Cursor) to build and deploy work.

• Exceptional visual and interaction craft tailored to complex desktop web applications.

• An up-to-date design portfolio showcasing recent work, storytelling clarity, and measurable business impact must be submitted with your application.

• Must be based in Canada
