The Opportunity

For a leading international financial institution, we are looking for an experienced Freelance Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in Credit, Lending and Banking Operations.

You will join a large-scale transformation environment focused on modernizing and optimizing lending and credit processes across the full credit lifecycle, from origination and contracting through portfolio management and risk monitoring.

This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, requiring someone who can confidently engage with stakeholders, challenge requirements, perform impact analysis, and translate business needs into high-quality functional solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze and validate business requirements.
• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications.
• Perform impact, dependency and risk assessments.
• Challenge stakeholders and support decision-making through structured analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Functional Analysts and Development teams.
• Support feature refinement and backlog preparation in an Agile environment.
• Define and review acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to feature testing, UAT preparation and business validation activities.
• Support incident analysis and resolution from a functional perspective.
• Facilitate communication between business and IT stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Proven experience within the banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of Credit, Lending and Risk Management processes.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process analysis and functional design.

Technical Background

You are not expected to be a developer but should be comfortable working within complex application landscapes and discussing solutions with technical teams.

Experience or affinity with:

• COBOL-based applications
• Java integrations
• APIs and system interfaces
• Functional analysis
• Process configuration
• Integration flows and data exchanges
