About Fozara

Fozara is a cross-border payments infrastructure platform that helps businesses and individuals collect and pay out across borders, with stablecoins moving value underneath and local currency at each end. Our consumer app serves over 5,000 users across Nigeria and North America, and our B2B platform, an API for wallets, onchain transfers, and payouts, is now in private beta. We're backed by South Park Commons and based at the Accelerator Centre in Waterloo, Canada.

Role Description

We're looking for a Frontend Engineer Web3 & Payments to build and evolve the user experiences powering Fozara's web and mobile products.

You'll work across React and React Native, building intuitive, reliable interfaces for payments, wallets, and financial transactions. You'll collaborate closely with backend and product engineers to integrate APIs, wallet infrastructure, and blockchain functionality into experiences that make moving money across borders feel simple.

We're looking for an engineer who cares about product quality, understands the complexity behind financial interfaces, and can take ownership of features from implementation through production.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of professional frontend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building production applications with React and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React Native and building cross-platform mobile applications.
• Experience building responsive, accessible, and performant web interfaces.
• Practical experience integrating Web3 wallets, connecting applications to blockchain networks, and handling wallet interactions.
• Familiarity with EVM chains, Solana, wallet connectivity, transaction signing, and onchain transaction lifecycles.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous operations, loading states, errors, and transaction confirmations.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, reusable components, state management, and application performance.
• Experience working with authentication, secure session handling, and user-facing financial workflows.
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong ownership, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced startup environment.

Bonus

• Experience with Privy or similar embedded wallet infrastructure.
• Experience with account abstraction, smart wallets, or gas-sponsored transactions.
• Experience integrating stablecoin payments, token transfers, swaps, or fiat on/off-ramps.
• Familiarity with EVM libraries such as viem or ethers.js, or Solana libraries such as @solana/web3.js.
• Experience building financial dashboards, transaction histories, payment flows, or other fintech products.
• Experience with design systems, animations, and tools such as Figma.
• Experience working in an early-stage startup and shipping products from zero to production.

You don't need to check every box. We care about strong frontend fundamentals, practical Web3 experience, product thinking, and your ability to own problems end-to-end.
