Volunteer Full Stack Developer

Salary: Volunteer

Hours: Minimum fifteen (15) hours weekly

Contract: Minimum six-month commitment

Location: Remote.

The Role


We’re looking for a motivated, enthusiastic full stack developer with a passion for sustainability to work with our friendly, dynamic team to inspire people around the world to make a better future.

Key/Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications across the full stack, including front-end and back-end technologies.
  • Design user interactions on web pages, ensuring responsiveness and seamless user experiences.
  • Collaborate with the design team to implement visual elements into web applications.
  • Build scalable and optimised databases, integrating data from various sources.
  • Write clean and efficient code using languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Node.js, PHP. or Django.
  • Conduct testing and debugging to ensure application functionality and security.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends for continuous improvement.
  • Work in an agile environment, participating in code reviews and providing technical guidance to team members.
  • A desire to make a sustainable world and better future for all.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field OR minimum of 2 years of equivalent commercial experience.
  • Experience with the following:
  • Responsive design for mobile and desktop (with graphic design/UX/UI team)
  • Optimisation of codebase and cross-platform compatibility
  • Server/Tracking technologies: Docker, Git, VStudio, CentOS, Win Pro
  • Coding technologies: Python, PHP, JS/JQuery, Node.js, HTML/CSS, PostgreSQL


Preferred Requirements

  • Fluency in English (preferred).
  • Willingness to learn new skills
  • The ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • The ability to be proactive and self-manage your time.
  • A self-driven mindset to make a better future for all.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving abilities.
