Full Stack Software Engineer – Node.js / React / Next.js

Gallium31 is looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our technology consulting and delivery team.

This is a remote work opportunity. You will be employed by Gallium31 and deployed to one of our enterprise clients, working closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to build business-critical digital platforms.

This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is comfortable working across the full software development lifecycle and delivering scalable, secure, cloud-native applications in an Agile enterprise environment.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack web applications.
• Build production-grade applications using Node.js, React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using microservices architecture.
• Build cloud-native, API-first, and event-driven solutions.
• Work with messaging and event platforms such as Kafka, Azure Service Bus, or Azure Event Grid.
• Apply modern engineering practices including clean code, reusable components, automated testing, and secure development.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture reviews.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
• Work with Docker and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support troubleshooting, production fixes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Node.js
• React
• TypeScript
• Next.js
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices.
• Experience with SQL and exposure to NoSQL databases.
• Experience or good understanding of event-driven architecture.
• Knowledge of secure application and API development.
• Experience with Git and GitHub.
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with enterprise client stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may also be considered.

The successful candidate will work remotely while collaborating with Gallium31 and the assigned enterprise client’s technology teams.

About the Role

This is a Gallium31 client delivery position. You will represent Gallium31 while working as an embedded member of an enterprise client’s technology team.
