Full-Stack Engineer (Saudi Arabian Fintech Startup)

We are seeking a skilled and self-directed Full-Stack Engineer for one of our clients. Our client is an early-stage fintech startup in Saudi Arabia. Position Overview This role will be crucial in developing and maintaining our platform, working on both the backend and frontend, primarily focusing on connecting data sources and building out new features. You will be a key contributor to our product development, working collaboratively with the team to build and deliver a high-quality product. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain backend applications using NestJS. Develop, test, and maintain frontend applications using Flutter. Build and connect APIs to the backend, integrating with various internal and external data sources (specifically NearPay). Build and maintain our customer dashboard product to display key information for our customers. Work with databases, including normalizing data and organizing it into different tables. Implement REST API integrations with third-party services, including banks in the future. Develop features for the webapp, with an understanding of API integration for data retrieval. Collaborate with the team to contribute to overall product development. Deploy applications and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Perform light DevOps tasks to maintain cloud infrastructure and deployments. Requirements 5-6 years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Engineer. Strong experience with NestJS for backend development. Strong experience with Flutter for frontend development. Experience with API integrations, both internal and with third-party systems. Understanding of REST APIs and the ability to work with API documentation. Solid grasp of database concepts and data normalization. Experience with cloud deployment and infrastructure management using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Ability to work independently, set your own schedule, and prioritize tasks. Excellent communication and responsiveness on Whatsapp and Google Chat Proven track record of successfully delivering projects from conception to completion. Experience with agile development methodologies and the ability to work with minimal daily supervision. Nice-to-Haves Experience building dashboards and visualizations. Familiarity with building or working with inventory management systems. Experience or knowledge in data pipelines. Experience working with one or more of the following technologies: React, Go, Java, Node, Kotlin. Prior experience working for a startup environment.
