Position Overview
We are looking for a motivated and capable Full
Stack Software Engineer to work across our product: the Java / Spring Boot services and REST APIs, the PostgreSQL databases behind them, and the React / TypeScript web applications our customers use.
You will join the CTO Engineering group, working closely with the backend, data, and product teams. The platform runs as one codebase across many customer deployments, so a large part of the work is making changes that behave correctly everywhere. You will take features end to end, from the database and the API to the screen.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to define, clarify, and improve product requirements
- Develop and maintain backend services in Java / Spring Boot and the REST APIs that expose our data
- Build and maintain web application features in React / Next.js and TypeScript
- Design database schemas and indexes, and keep queries fast as data grows
- Work on the services that receive and decode measurements from devices in the field
- Build monitoring and alerting, and investigate production incidents
- Work on our AWS infrastructure
- Actively participate in design and code reviews
- Deliver high-performance, reliable, reusable code that solves business problems efficiently and is easy to understand and maintain
- Identify and implement improvements for the modules you own
- Support and enhance CI/CD practices
- Contribute to improving team processes and ways of working
- Share knowledge and collaborate closely with colleagues
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- University Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building full stack web applications
- Solid hands-on experience with server-side Java, and good knowledge of Spring, JPA/Hibernate, REST, Maven, Git
- Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript
- Experience with relational databases (ideally PostgreSQL), including reading query plans and troubleshooting slow queries
- Experience with real-world authentication and session flows between a web frontend and backend APIs
- Working knowledge of Python, or readiness to pick it up — parts of our platform are written in it
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Experience with automated testing (unit + e2e) and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of modern software engineering practices across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) — coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, CI pipelines
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Next.js
- Experience with data presentation / visualization libraries
- Experience with Kafka, particularly Kafka Connect
- Experience with time-series databases such as TimescaleDB
- Experience with data processing / ETL (extract, transform, load) concepts, or workflow orchestration tools (Dagster, Airflow or similar)
- Experience with AWS services (S3, SQS, Kinesis, Redshift, EC2, Elastic Beanstalk)
- Experience with the Telecom domain (radio / RAN — radio access network)
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation package
- Culture of trust, empowerment, and constructive feedback
- Freedom to prototype and use the newest technologies to solve real challenges
- Flexible work environment with global collaboration
- Supportive team with deep technical and domain expertise
- Opportunity to be part of a product development team — we are not an outsourcing company
