The role As a member of our Guest Journey team you’ll focus on building the user-facing product experiences that customers interact with daily. You’ll work closely with our VP of Engineering and our cross-functional engineering teams, contributing to scalable, high impact features that improve both our platform and user experience. Our tech stack includes TypeScript and JavaScript, NodeJS, Firebase, Firestore, BigQuery, Angular and React, running on Linux in Google Cloud Platform. While engineers may specialize deeply, Waitwhile increasingly values end-to-end product ownership and cross-stack collaboration as the organization scales. This position is based in Stockholm at our offices on Kungsgatan 32. We’re a hybrid company and prefer that you work from the office at least 2 days per week, as we believe the best product gets built together, live. What you’ll do Full engineering lifecycle including technical design, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and production monitoring. Drive improvements to engineering best practices, tooling, and code quality. Scalability, reliability, observability, and compliance across services and internal platforms. Ensure systems can scale sustainably while maintaining uptime and performance under enterprise load. Improve monitoring, logging, deployment systems, and operational tooling to support long-term platform health. What skills you need 5+ years of experience building web applications Solid programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, React or Angular and Node.js. Cloud hosting and operations in GCP Comfort in collaborating across the stack to support complete product experiences Great communication skills, comfortable explaining complex concepts to cross-functional teams A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Bonus Skills & Attributes: Previously worked at a startup or on a SaaS product Exposure to Firebase, Firestore and/or BigQuery Familiarity with distributed systems, performance tuning, and infrastructure tooling A great place to work❤️ We want Waitwhile to be an incredible place to work.
