Our client, a leading iGaming operator focused on quality, compliance, and player satisfaction across global markets, is seeking a General Counsel to join the small Legal & Compliance team. You will own a broad range of legal matters across the group, partnering with the business to move us forward while maintaining regulatory integrity.

You will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, ensuring contracts meet legal and regulatory requirements while protecting the company’s interests.

  • Lead legal research on applicable laws, licence conditions, and gambling regulation.

  • Oversee corporate governance, board matters, company structures, and internal policies.

  • Provide clear, practical legal advice to management and the wider business.

  • Support partnerships, investments, corporate transactions, and the legal aspects of entering new markets.

  • Advise on gambling regulation across the markets where we operate, including licensing, regulatory changes, and other legal considerations.

  • Work closely with the Head of Legal & Compliance, providing the legal perspective on AML, Responsible Gambling, sanctions and other regulatory matters.

  • Take ownership of data protection and GDPR matters.

  • Manage intellectual property matters across our brands, domains and commercial agreements.

  • Keep up to date with relevant legal and regulatory developments, and turn them into practical actions for the business.

  • Work collaboratively with the Legal & Compliance team, sharing knowledge and supporting each other across different areas.

You will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Native Swedish or Finnish speaker with a legal background and experience working across EU jurisdictions.

  • Experience within the iGaming industry and a solid understanding of gambling regulation.

  • Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements, and you are comfortable owning matters from start to finish.

  • You are commercially minded and know how to balance legal and regulatory risk with business goals.

  • You have a strong work ethic and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

  • Comfortable working closely with the management team, bringing your perspective and giving clear, independent advice when needed.

  • You enjoy being hands-on, working close to the business, and taking accountability for seeing things through.

  • You have excellent English communication skills and can communicate clearly and directly, both verbally and in writing.

What we offer

  • An innovative, agile team that is pushing boundaries and shaping the future of the gaming industry.

  • Thriving in a collaborative space where your ideas matter and directly influence our success.

  • Be part of a supportive culture that champions growth, creativity, and a shared drive for excellence.

  • Wellness allowance and private health care.

  • Regular social events and team activities.
